Building Rapport with Your Followers at Twitter

One of the main factors that helps you achieve success with Twitter is the number of targeted followers you have; getting the right kind of followers can make all the difference between striking it big or just being mediocre. As is well understood at Twitter, you have to make something happen once you start accumulating good numbers of followers. That’s right – until you put in the effort to keep your followers hooked on to you, you will have a hard time keeping them, and if you aren’t able to keep them, then it’s obvious that you’re doing something wrong.

Self promotion on Twitter is fine, as long as you’re balancing it with quality sharing. People are following you for a good reason. It is because your content is different and they cannot get this type of valuable content on other websites. You should be consistent when it comes to sharing anything that you think would help your Twitter followers. The people who follow you on Twitter will not be upset if you send out a promotional tweet or two if there is something helpful for them the majority of the time. So make sure that you have a balanced tweeting strategy when you advertise links.

How Does Video Marketing Help You?

Video sharing is growing in popularity, like many things with Google it could be argued that as popularity for the service has grown, quality has suffered. Personally, my main issue with YouTube is that I’m often presented with video content which isn’t a video. If I am searching for a music video, I often end up with a static image or homemade montage of images with a backing track.

Video marketing is popular due to the growth in social digital interactions and the development in mobile technology such as android and iPhone’s. The content uploaded onto video sharing sites can vary from promotional trailers for movies, to the latest pop video. It can also be used for people to share videos on a personal nature.

Social Media has embraced the use of video, sites such as Facebook allow you to embed video into your wall or timeline as it is now called. You can also directly upload a video from your pc or laptop onto your facebook profile for all your connections to view and comment on. Could Facebook be missing an opportunity in not having a video search facility? Only time will tell.

Successes and failures of Google: bye-bye independent online booking?

The Internet giant that initially just provided customer-oriented search is now turning into a major American corporation that dominates in a number of highly profitable IT sectors. However, according to a popular web portal chip.ua Google has shut down a number of services that did not generate enough income.

Google dominates more than 90 percent of all searches and is an absolute leader in most countries with the exception of two major markets in China and Russia. Competitors such as Bing from Microsoft together provide less than 10 per cent of searches.

In the light of this total market domination it is quite surprising to find out that Google accumulates slightly more than 44 percent of all online advertisement revenue. However, it is still the best result for a single company because all small service providers get 40% of the market.

The Android operational system is pre-installed on 53% of all new smart phones which is twice as much as a year ago. In the battle of Android phones vs iPhone Google is not the least important factor.
